Smoke damaged brickwork
« on: March 08, 2012, 08:33:17 pm »
Being asked to quote a job to remove smoke damage from 3 external panel walls.
a shed was set a light, and there is some heavy smoke damage in certain areas.
the owner has no other options other than cleaning due to the brickwork belonging too
3 partys, which are against covering walls with paint.
any advice apprec. cheers.

Well started job this morning, took 1000litres water with me as no supply near.
rinsed first wall, then applied agent, rinsed 2nd wall then agent - 3rd then back to 1st wall, about 20 mins dwell time each panel wall, using pole and turbo nozzle. working ground up smoke tainting virtually dissapeared. brick back to new. only stubborn areas were where the shed was actually burning against the brick. used agent almost neat on these areas, and agitated with wire brush/wire wool, with good results, builder doing cartwheels/owner of property well pleased with results, jobs a goodn, cash in the bank and home for lunch time, wish all mondays started this way.  ;)

Will recomend this chemical, Tensid heavy duty restoration cleaner, bang on. Very expensive , but very good. cheers all
