Hi due to budget I purchased a 100 god to get me going ,will only use 500 litre a week max ,but its coming out proper slow ,but constant ,is this normal. I'm running a booster how long should It take to fill a 200 litre water butt?

yes that sounds about right, takes around 12 hours to fill my 210 ltre butt which does me for an average day, if im more busy i just leave it running into 1000 ltr ibc tank that takes about 2 days to fill.depends if you can store that amount.

John you use a 100 gpd if so 12 hours sounds ok?

Dont know if its of any use to you but i use a 75gpd , it gives me 150L of pure 000tds in 24 hours , not that much i know but that runs at 70psi mains pressure only , it runs like this 24/7 into my ibc , i have not run out of product water yet , i reckon i use 250 to 300 L a day .

it depends on your mains water pressure which will vary, i run mine with a booster pump,. and then run it thru an 11 litre di vessel which slows it down even more ,just leave it running about 48 hrs to fill an ibc tank running short of water is never a problem for me

I started with a 100gpd, like u not using too much water. It was so slow so I bought the Osmotics upgrade kit, which was not dear and made the unit into a 200gpd RO.
I do have a booster pump and now produce around 200 litres in 4 hrs. If the resin is getting towards a change it will take a bit longer.
Good move though and not expensive to do.

The 100 gal will do the job if you are on a budget.With time you will need to up grade as your water requirements grow.I was surprised adding a pump to the system improved the quality of production and quality of the water also add a second or even a third membrane as this will reduce your waste water and increase you production at this point you will also need to change your back pressure valve and add a pressure metre. So many thing you will have limit to the pressure as it states on the membrane but this psi reading is a minimal   and will produce best at 80 to 100 psi as long as you have enough water passing through to waste to flush membrane.

We've been using a Merlin 720 with a 60 psi booster pump. Produces 1,000 litres in 16 hours.
Not hijacking your thread - just providing some comparison.
