Wagtail combi
« on: January 15, 2012, 09:29:15 am »
I know there has been loads of topics about wagtail, ive been doing searches on here and other forums. I want to buy one which has the mop bit on top of the blade, i think its the combi so you can have it on top and underneath the blade. Anyone got one, looking at the video on their website it looks pretty new maybe a year old. Dont want to order the wrong one!

I think you have to modify the mop to fit over the top rather than the normal underneath. The mops are attached by Velcro so can be altered to suit. I found the original yellow and original microfibre blue ones that come as standard are slightly too small to be able to travel the extra distance over the top. We are talking a few millimetres here mind.

I have modified an old Unger bonnet/mop to fit on mine for the few occasions when the mop gets in the way for closing out. I think it's called the Whirlwind. Check out ''mywagga'' on Youtube.

I like the red rubber that comes with them but I also use Pulex soft. I think they'll accept any rubber.

have the wagtail whirlwind
good tool, as for the rubber the wagtail stuff is good, but so it should be for price, it is standard rubber mold, so yes any rubber will fit, i use pulex.
the Velcro grips are ok but wear in a few months
well worth having in the tool box, well full time use
great for pole work, the pole adapter is worth buying as well
