I could'nt get on with mine so sold it on here, forever getting air locks,I now use a backpack and no airlocks as the pipe attached is at the base and I never need to pull it out!

Dave
I was same as you i.e trad for donkeys years but finally went WFP a couple of years ago ,trolly from pure freedom - the 25 l one .I went across and had a go with different poles and looked at all kit .So far I m fine with WFP and soooo much safer than Trad.I have gained plenty of custies who only want WFP ,I lost only a couple who couldnt see the benefits for them. Its loads more messing after you get home from work but i dont mind too much. I have ten 25l containers .Have booster pump for RO as it did pee me off that it took so long for containers to fill. Now have IBC collecting rainwater via P3 filter ,water butt pump to RO in garage. I find I can recycle my waste water via water butt as TDS going in was only 30 ish with rainwater so now I dont have to think about being on a water meter. Cost a few quid to set up but nice feeling using rainwater .Still have backup mains to RO if we get a dry spell though. Still do a few trad bungalows cos they are oldies but Im sure they would be fine with WFP. New customers are always impressed when they find out that the water is far more pure than the bottled supermarket water ! Also its great for using gloves , that cold numb hands thing wasnt good with Trad. ;D ;D ;D
Its a diffrent mindset for cleaning but when you get sorted you wont be reverting back ;D

On the 25l trolleys, is there a way of changing barrells without having to constantley sort the air lock out?

The only time you will get an air lock is if you dont turn pump off before you take tube out of 25l container ,if you switch off pump , remove tube ,change containers ,replace tube ,turn power to pump back on you shouldnt get an air lock. Just sometimes i forget to turn power off and get airlock -drives yer mad but do as above and it should be fine.
Make sure you keep all clips tight for all connections. Hope you get this sorted cos it would do my head in as well- easy fix though mate ;D

I got airlocks without turning power off, even on full blast it took about a minute for the water to come through, sometimes had to bleed the water through by sucking on the hose and I looked a right plonker.

i wasted a year humping 10 barrels in and out of the van every day when i should of just got a tank!hindsight is a wonderful thing!! ;D ;D
