Builders Clean Newbie

Could anyone please help, we specialise in forecourt cleaning but have been asked more and more to price for builders cleans and turned them down. But its getting to a stage now where there is so much of this work available we want to get into it but no very little about it. How is it priced, do you need a CSR card and what exactly does a builders clean include???

hi there,

ok,

csr has replaced CSCS, and if you write to them you will get an exemption letter, as cleaning didnt have a category.

cscs, and csr, was supposed to be a big thing in the industry, in all my time on sites only one developer has ever asked about it.

Hello a great deal depends on whom you are dealing with.  Builders cleans are as stated yopu do a complete clean after the builders, some builders are good some are not.   We charge 1.80 s.m. Hope this helps

Thanks a lot everyone, you have been a great help.
Sorry I did mean a csr card. Is it to do with health and safety on building sites or something.
Thanks again.

Never been asked for a csr card, only CIS.
A cis card is simply a registration card for the construction industry scheme, allowing the builder/contractor to deduct tax before paying you.
If you do not have a cis card you cannot get paid.
just pay a visit to your local tax office with a couple of forms of id,and some passport size photos and it takes about 5 minutes to complete the paperwork and you should get your card in about a week,it is also free, now how often do you get something from the taxman for free?-John
