Tin bath - Orange stains????
« on: December 09, 2011, 02:33:26 pm »
Hi all,

One of my operatives has put bleech in a tin bath to bring it up to a lovely shine, however all they got was a lovely orange patch where the bleach has been sitting.
I have since gone and used disinfectant, creams and evan powders to try and remove the colour, i was hoping someone else has come across this to save me painting their bath with bath paint.

Hope someone has an answer.

Thanks

BDCS

Tin baths are galvanised - I assume you mean an enamel bath which bleach should not have marked it. It sounds like a rust mark from something else which should come off with an acidic chemical and scotch brite
