Difference between two LPG heaters?
« on: November 24, 2011, 03:07:46 pm »
Asked a similar question a while ago but to be honest I've only just got round to getting one ordered...

Anyways, I like the look of the heater sold via eBay the two in question are;
Reach 2 Cleans, Flaming Hot (item no 140557073802)
8L Heater (item no 300625512094)
My question is could there be that much in difference between the two? I've asked reach 2 clean but have said that they're made to their exacting specifications and are different but are hesitant too tell me what.

On another note I'm awaiting avreply from reach 2 clean but what type of gas would suite these heaters best? I understand that LPG is a byproduct mixture containing Butane and Propane but being Propane gives off a much higher heat would Butane be more suited to window cleaning??

Thanks for your help again guys ;)

Im not sure but I think propane is better in the freezing weather so i would go for propane and get yaself a fogwash for £180 which does the same than anyother hot system !!!!!!! I bought one couple of weeks ago so easy to install and have lovely hot water ... Ive got a see thru gas 10kg gas bottle which ive used everyday and have used half the gas which this should last about a month and I can change the bottle at homebase for £29 {propane} hope this was helpful !!!!!!!

That is helpful thankyou hmmm I tend to agree with you on the propane especially if the temperature drops, I had been thinking of getting the fogwash too but I just like the look of reach 2 cleans one... Maybe it's the stainless steel look plus it does have a water temperature gauge????

the difference between the two is that they have got some stickers made up and put it on the heater.

As for LPG/propane/butane - well butane gives less heat, lpg as far as I'm aware in the UK is 95% propane and 5% butane but check that out.

we use lpg in our space heaters and does the job perfectly.

They are EXACTLY the same heater. Buy direct from amonstar for even better prices than ebay.

The fogwash is much better though,.. my amonstar heater didn't even last a year & the innards melted!!  :o :o
