Hi all,

I'm looking into purchasing a wondwand for my porty. Can anybody tell me which is the best performer and if anybody has one for sale I'd be interested in knowing what you have.
Thanks

Most important question./..What machine you got?

Rotovac 360i and RX-20... although they will "work" with a standard portable, they really only come into their own on a high performance system.. the rotovac probably fine with a top notch machine like airflex/alltec/scorpion/jaguar but the RX definitely a truckmount tool.  (OK someone will pipe up and say they use one with a porty :) )

Why do you want a wonderwand as opposed to a "normal" wand?

I've never used one, but lots of guys on here have so they can best advise whether it would suit your setup

I've only ever used the 360i under "exhibition" conditions, hooked up to an alltec triple vac on a perfectly clean piece of needlefelt carpet.  But it did seem to handle very well, nice and light.  The variable speed is interesting, but I'm not sure you gain anything by the head going slower, not sure what the point of that is ???

120psi?

I wouldn't bother with a rotovac in that case.

But a Extracta scrubba works great under low psi aparantly.

I have an extracta scrubba and it works extremely well on mingers. Its a bit too much for domestic work though. I find I need to turn the pressure down to about 100psi  to get the best results which is good as it uses much less water and leaves the carpet dryer with superior results and less filling and emptying. I have been considering selling it as I only really do domestic work which is only really suited to a wand.
