Best spotting machine in the UK
« on: September 17, 2011, 10:33:53 am »
All

Considering buying a spotting machine after getting rid of a Mitey One from Cornwall last month.

Whilst pressure and vac were great I wasn't happy with the fact I couldn't get all the water out without tipping the machine upside down.  I know they are meant to be a booster for a Scorpion, something I never needed or tried, but the design could have been better.

I know Matt does a nice spotter at Cleansmart but there seems to be much more choice when you look at the US sites.

Anybody know of and used any good spotting machines this side of the pond?

IMO the three stage motor in the Mitey is too powerfull for that stack height/ tank size ... water gets into the vacs at a very low level . i think they make a bigger tank version now .
That cleansmart one looks good for the size , depends what you want it for i suppose .
This Polarbrite zippy looks like a bargain to me  ....

I have owned a few small kleenrite extractors , I use them for stairs and suites .

THey have a heater , but are expensive at around £1500 . Very durable though.

The Cleansmart machine is heavily discounted at the moment and has been for a while.  Wonder why?

Maybe he had too many made and just wants to shift them to finance the new "big" machine project.

The Polarbright looks interesting - what is the gen on the company and machine reliability?

£1500 is too much for my pocket just for a spotter.

You can't do much worse that the CFR spotter from Amtech.

it comes with the much praised CFR hand tool too.

Really versatile little machine. Every time we give one to one of our hotel contracts to try for a day or 2 they buy it.

Ive had one of these for a few years now
comes in very handy for spots, not a huge psi pump (you dont need it just for spots) loads of vacuum though and very cheap
