new starting up

hi ya :) hi ya i am thinking of starting up in carpet cleaning as an add on to my window cleaning, i cleaned carpets for some outfits in the early eighties £10 a room ect, i do not want to go down that road again, 1whats the best way of finding instant work, 2whats the best portable machine for domestic work 3 would this be a good time of year to start, i have seen all the gloss and get rich quick addys, ijust want some solid advice from people who no the game , and not trying to sell me a n orange hoover ;D.............pete

Pete just have a word with M Rooney or Ash W they will sort you out, dont know about £10 a room in the early 80's, you might have to cut your prices now though ;D

Sorry Ash, your post about the shelf life of pre-sprays was off another topic.  I thought you and the other guy that does the cheap carpet cleaning were connected in some way.

Nope, don't think I could stomach Groupon et al. Worse for me than the cheap prices would be knowing someone else was earning off MY sweat..
