Advice on new job please.
« on: September 10, 2011, 08:14:25 pm »
Hi,
I have been asked to quote for 2 big private dental practices, having never done these before what things do I need to consider? Anything unusual about these jobs?
Im going next week, but as I say have no idea what to expect. I expect to quote for the windows, waiting rooms, reception, offices and communal areas but would it be normal to include the consulting rooms?

All advice appreciated.

You will almost certainly need to use a pH Neutral Cleaner with anti bacterial.  You need to check with the Practice Manager.  Determine all the different surfaces that need cleaning then work out a cleaning regime for each one and get it approved by them

Ok,
Urgent help required please!!

I am going tomorrow to look at these, I think they really want to use me.
And I cant stress enough how much I need this job.

Can you please help me on a rough price,
2x dental practices, 1 is 1.5 hours a day, 1 is 1 hour a day,  5 days a week, then 1 in 4 Saturday.

12 hours a week domestic house keeping and periodic windows at all 3.

I am providing all the materials and equipment.
I have priced up hundreds of houses before but all on a one off basis, end of tenancy.
They also want a maintenance contract which will be variable hours so will invoice seperatley for this.

But the contact has specifically asked me to fetch along a rough idea of price. Do I go in at hourly rate for everything? Or what would you do?

As I say my previous experience is completley different and I really really dont want to lose this job, it could be the one which means I could clean full time for myself and leave my job from hell!!
I have sourced the products, data sheets,  ect.

Please can you help with the pricing, all work within 10 miles and will be done by myself.

Kind regards
Paul

Looks like 24 to 25 hours per week to me unless I've miscalculated the hours you've posted so just charge it at your usual hourly rate.

Cheers
