Would this mean i just have to take of the butt cap off my 22, and put on the 27 base section? even a extra 3 - 4 foot would do alex. thanks m.

Yes this is all you need to do. It would also be a good idea to paint a band around the handle section of the CLX22 at about 15cm up from the base so that you do not over-extend the section when in use.
