merlin problem

not long had it so dont know much about them, but if any one could advise be great,

The problem is that the waste water is gushing out and the pure water is trickling out.

Any advice much appreciated in advance

unfortunately thats what merlins do, hope for your sake you are not on a water meter.
Like all ro's you will increase its efficiency by installing a booster pump to increase the mains pressure, you could also add a tap to reduce the amount of waste water but be careful doing this as the product tds will also increase and shorten the life of the membrane.

Thats qhat they do, when the pre filter is knackered they get worse so if yours is really bad you could try replacing the pre filter.

Check that the mebranes and pre-filter are seated properly in the unit. One of mine wasn't and the output volume rose considerably along with a rapid rise in tds.
