i,m on my own, i take your point about the canvasing but this way the canvasing is done for you,but i know it would be a bind giving the dosh away..i suppose it,s down to the hourly rate your happy with...i can get a hand if needed by the way....cheers
OK, so say you do a Groupon deal as mentioned.
You would have to have a discount that would attract people to look, before considering buying, so you would be looking at 60% plus.
Using 60%:
Your normal price would be £160 (which is quite high for this sort of work)
So you would be willing to do it for £64 and give Groupon their share of that aswell, so you could be down to £32 for a job.
What if you got 500 buyers, how would you fit all that work in along with your normal work?
In all honesty IMO joe public would look at your £160 price and think thats too high in the first place, so would you really want to reduce that £160?
Don't know where you are, but £160 around here would do a largish 4 bed house with guttering on each side and that would include fac's and soffits too.
Groupn works for retail businesses if it is done right, but really don't think it suits one man bands.
Get out their canvassing/leafletting, get your own work in at realistic prices.
