I'm toying with the idea of going the vac route, been watching these posts with interest.
Quite a few guys seem to be using the Clarke 30 system, so after some research and shopping around, I see the same (well I think its the same) vac is available on Fleabay for around £80-90. Just without the pole and gutter attachments?
So a couple of questions;
1; anybody who has a clarke 30 please check out this link, is it the same Vac (main unit I mean)?

if it is same unit on to question 2
2; surely buy one from Fleabay and make attachments from UPVC pipe and bits from B&Q like others have done on this forum (see older posts on DIY  Gutter Vacs), there fore saving in the region of £150.

That's the 20Lt one I think, imo why waste time sourcing all the bits and using inferior equipment by that I mean plastic downpipe instead of the metal poles and attachments. I personal wouldn't want to try and clean guttering over a conservatory with plastic down pipe and all to save a couple £100 tops if it was 5-6 hundred saving then maybe I would give it a little thought but def not for £150

i have used plastic down pipe and its not that good the best thing about gutter cleaning systems is the pipe is alloy plus you get a different end attachments to tackle everything better off with pre-built svaes messing about mate

I have plastic pipes for my vac and have done a lot of cleans with them and never had a problem even over conys etc .

we are using the clarke 20L and it works very well on houses.

for £260 odd its def worh a punt and within 3 or 4 houses it pays for itself.

screw fix do a 2.4kw 4 stroke for £240

CANT BELEIVE HOW GOOD IT IS!!!!

well worth the money my dads gutter havnt been done for 10 years hes got a big house and it only took half an hour and we did the gutters on his double garage also.

my dad is an engineer and a bit of a machine snob and i couldnt get it of him!

ive got 11 jobs lined up next week and a school and a nursing home the following week for the vac and i think i will have the houses done in 2 days and i no i cant make this much money wondow cleaning so...

all in all belta peace of kit and well worth the money

After using my new gutter cleaning kit a couple of times now, I got the lidl vac and then bought a set of poles from gutter cleaning systems Im now convinced that gutter cleaning could turn out to be more lucrative than wfp window cleaning .The vac worked incredibly well, making a job that i normally dread hanging off a high ladder scooping out muck into a bucket, into an easy job in about a third of the time. Im definately going to push this side of my business now

£190 delivered with 4 heads and weed hook diffrent size heads to cope with the varying gaps that you get with gutters some are very tight, for bungalows just work off a step ladder very easy money
