Intrested to know if the hot boxes you are using with your pressure washers would be suitable for carpet cleaning and where to get advice and buy either diesel or gas fired working at 100 to 800 psi producing up to 110 c

cheers

Jim I have used a  hot box to provide hot water for my carpet cleaning for the last 10yrs, it is hooked up to my truckmount.

the biggest problem with them is they are too powerful they are designed for machines that have a flow of around 15lt-18lts so controlling the temp is very tricky.... you get massive heat spikes where pure steam comes out of the wand until the thermostat kicks in.

I have a bypass fitted so half the heated water returns to the fresh water tank, this helps control the heat better.

you can only get diesel hotboxes.

they are a generic part that can be made by any pressure washing equipment supplier, they just buy the parts and make them, although Karcher & Portatechica(SP?) do a ready made one (but they are tooo expensive)

Mines a lavor and everything can be bought from exchange engineering to build it into whatever you want - thermostats, flow switches etc. Mine came from Brayton engineering
