Anyone got suggestions for their preferred method of cleaning venitians ?
We always find them time concuming, no matter what technique we use, maybe someone has a magic machine ?
Blinds are always in situ, removing them is not really an option, as some of them can be 8ft wide and 11 to 12 feet tall

Sorry, misread you that they would have to stay put. It is time consuming, no easy way. Have you tried those 5 fingered venetian blind cleaners from Dunelm?

Hi

If you cannot soak in a bath then do this:

Spray down with diluted bio persil (1/2 cap in 500ml) if right hand start on right, left handed start on left.

leave to dwell for 5 mins and then re spray and wipe down with kitchen towel working on side to other, once you have momentum going they become easier, I have 10 to do next week (kill me now)

Yep Denise, tried those, but they're only useful for light dust, these dammed apartments even have them in the kitchens, so you can imagine !

Once upon a time we had a machine for this. Think it was a clean fix.
Twin brushes, sprayed and extracted. Lovely wee beast.

sounds promising, do you know if they still exist ?

if you can push them against a surface they usually aren't too bad. like martin we'll spray a degreaser on them and leave for 5-10 minutes, then wipe from top to bottom and then check if any need and more attention. one of the most boring jobs and also can be a right pain if in a kitchen behind the sink as then they're hard to get to too
