Which Rotory

Hi All. New to forum and CC, so be gentle with me please!

I am looking for advice on buying the right rotory machine. I am working on a strict budget, yet I dont want to compromise on the end result. I currently have a Ninja and a Prochem Cheyenne for HWE.

I need a machine that I can use to agitate pre spray, but one that can also double up to be used for LM bonnet cleaning if needed, I have been looking ot some of the Victor machines floating around on ebay? What sort of RPM machine should I be looking for? I really like the idea of the Dry Fusion system with the shot of heat etc. but way out of my league until I get my redundancy !

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Only two choices for me, Victor 15" and 17" Standard Speed.

Buy used from ebay or somewhere like A3 Machines: -

If buying from A3 then call first, have a chat and get the best machine at their best price. Good firm to deal with.

Be careful on Ebay. Guy near us repairs machines and he showed one of my customers some of the crap people have bought including one which had no motor inside. You can pick up some bargains but try and see it before parting with cash. You need to be looking for a slow speed model 150-200 rpm.

Hi steve I've got a victor wolf 300 this has a top speed of 180 rpm and is just right for what you need it for .I brought this of eBay for around £150 and it has never let me down yet but I did get it serviced straight after buying .But like everyone said it would be better if you can see it working before buying .

As I suspected, a low/standard speed Victor goes on the shopping list, I will probably spend a bit more and go with a refurbed one.

Hi Steve iv'e been cleaning carpets for 2 years now using Dry Fusion and must say it's a great bit of kit i haven't used anything else so all i can say is i highly recommend it so get saving them pennies lol.

Don’t like the balance of the victors on carpets numatic is better imo and yes the df machine is good check out if Columbus do recons that’s a machine which don’t come up that often

Just been looking at a manufacturer recon 17" Truvox Orbis 200, comes with 90 day warranty - £120! seems cheap to me?

If I had the cash in hand I would opt for a Dry Fusion system and a Crystal Fusion system for upholstery, Ive heard only good things about them, the only drawback is the price tag, around £5k for the pair.

I never thought I would look forward to getting made redundant so much!  ;D

Any thoughts?

As john said just be carefull with the rotarys.

Yes i use a 180 speed and its enough for me when am doing my maintanence cleans in offices etc.

Not seen this crystal fusion yet.

We sell tons of these and my guys use them in their various forms.
They may be plastic but they are rock solid.
There is an optional weight kit for the 200 model which makes quite a difference.
Its as simple as drilling two holes in the base and bolting on.
The duo is the heaviest of the range and as you rightly say opens up the possibility for hard floor work as it can scrub and buff in addition to LM cleaning.
At £130 thats an awesome buy.

The heaters are gone in the Hydrovantage so I took it of sale.

There are 2 in just now though for recon. Will let you know outcome.

Took a minute to think about that tenner.  ;D

I didn't want to spend a lot on a rotary before seeing what kind of results I got so there will be better ones available that are faster etc... but for the amount of bonneting I do this does a good job!

Looks like a good setup. But theres no way I could justify spending that sort of cash (£800 inc vat) on an agitator, with occassional bonnet cleaning.

Ive took the plunge on the Truvox Orbis Duo 200/400, at £145 delivered with a 90 day warranty it was a no brainer for me (working on a very tight budget at the moment). If I find myself doing more LM cleaning I will save up and go for the Dry Fusion system.

That Restormate looks like a good company for LM supplies.  :)

 hi all
 when using a rotary  when agitating prespray what plate do you use, i only have the green and white numatic at the minute. this i feel is far to course.

dont know about the numatic, but Ive ordered a shampoo brush head for the Truvox. As far as I can gather everything else is for hard floor scrubbing. ???
