be looking at crew vans but good ones are hard to find

Has anyone had seats fitted in a normal van to make it a crew van if so did the insureance go up much  

Just trying to find out what the difference in insurance prices are for a factory fitted crew van and a normal van converted to a crew van

I looked into this and if you want to do it properly and legally, you have to have an independent inspectors report and show this to the insurance company.

Fitted seats to rear of a fiesta van, took to local garage , they wrote a letter to say the seats were properly fitted, with seat belts, and all properly correctly torqued up .
All insurance wabte was a letter and job done

I am sorry mate but that is wrong because i have fitted seat in the back of a van before and the insurance said that was fine but then again some insurance company's do differ. i think its only a problem if you fit to many seats i had 3 in the front and 2 in the back and had no problem at all.

I fitted a double seat out of a transit into the back of my peugeot expert.

I had it done at a local gargae - they drilled through the floor, bolted and plated it up.

Insurance did class it as a modification, dont know how much extra it cost as it was my first insurance.
