Do a long road with 21 houses on it so start at one end in the morning and 7-8 hours later finish last house ... last 5 houses are bungerlows so keep em to the end cos still love doing a bit of trad
... then I collect payments and day done .... except last night this happened
Phone rang and customer from 116 says a member of my staff has wrecked her gate by climbing over it and now its dropped and wont close and will pay me but to take her off the round
... except was by myself yesterday and I didnt climb over it ... was blocked by 3 wheelie bins so pushed it several times to move the empty wheelie bins.
Tells her I will be there in 2 minutes .... gets there and shes outta the door before I turn engine off ranting at me how her gate is now broken due to a member of my staff climbing over it and how weve been asked on 2 occasions to call the night before and how she is fussy who she lets onto her property etc etc so just said nothing and let her get it all off her chest .... then I explained that it was only me today and I hadnt climbed over her gate just pushed it to move the bins so couldnt have dropped then she bangs on some more about being asked to call night before .... tells her no ones ever asked me before but more than happy to as it saves me time and time is money.
Oh yes we have John my husband has on 2 occassions (John has no voice box and whispers everything and then u cant understand him) thinks gotta be careful here then thought no tell her the way it is so says he may have asked me but if he had I didnt understand him but will be more than happy to call in future so thinking getting somewhere here when she says ok we will keep u on as we cant get another window cleaner !!!!!!!!! so now Im like well tell u what dont just keep me on cos u cant find another one ... keep me on cos I do a good job for a fair price and u want me to do your windows not just because u cant find another window cleaner ... in fact keep the 8quid you owe me and I will take u off my list as not coming here just because u cant find another window cleaner .... at this point she wound her neck in and said she would speak to her husband whos currently away and will call me if she wants dropping so if they dont call then keep cleaning so long as I call the night before :

My first instict was just to say go forth and multiply but decided to apologise over our past indiscretions when we had climbed over gate but we didnt know that we had to call night before ... wanted the challange of keeping the customer happy.
The gate was ok she just wasnt closing it hard enough.
When do you think I should tell her the price needs to be 10quid as taking too long to clean for 8quid
