« on: June 27, 2011, 06:27:15 pm »
Hey there lads any chance some one can give me some sensible advice please....

I have been doing wfp and trad together for about 18 months now and for the amount of wfp work i do i have just been running twin di.. Due to family problems i may have to move back to my mums house until i get things sorted but the area i will be going to live at have a tds read out of 300+..
how easy and how do i setup merlin ro system??? Cause im guessing running my twin di's wont last me 6 weeks at best..
If anyone can explain in simple terms that would be amazing!!!!

Using the merlin is a doddle. You have 3 pipes, inlet, outlet and waste. You'll need to connect your water supply to the inlet, the outlet to your tank and the waste goes down the drain and thats it

Too variable to give an accurate answer.
Merlins aren't the greatest for bringing down tap TDS but you may achieve single figures.  Much depends on having decent water pressure.  Same goes for production rates.  Merlins tend to produce fairly well but it's likely you will need to use that DI to polish up after it.  Also bear in mind that they tend to put out more waste than many ROs so hopefully you won't be on a meter.
