Build up on battery terminal

Does anyone else have this problem?
Its like limescale that builds on the positive battery terminal.. and how do you get rid of it/prevent it?

just clean it of and either as suggested above or some copper grease is what I use

pour a little boiling water over it will take it straight back to the metal then a bit of vaseline to coat it
