Think i may have the same problem SB... i dont leave sae so could just be customers have forgot. Reason i think this is that a couple are really hot on sending them out asap
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

sometimes they end up being delivered late.i use first class stamps and ive had the odd one or two that took 6 weeks or so to be delivered by which time id got in contact with the customer and they cancelled the cheque and issued me with another one.

these things happen from time to time im afraid.of course i get the ones who just totally forget or are skint and i have to give them a text reminder or phone call but its not very often.

I leave a sae padded envelope with label ----- cleaning, Customers used to send either a cheque or cash.
From November through to January I lost over £500 by someone in the postal service opening the envelopes and stealing the cash.
I reported it and it stopped from Feb until the other day when two envelopes arrived one of which had £10 missing and the other was a cheque.
I changed my slips to instruct cheques only but some customers still send cash.
Too far away to go collecting.
Will be reporting it again and looking for a full investigation to catch the thief.
Obviously some clever postal worker has worked out that the padded envelopes sometimes contain cash, paid for his Christmas!

if them few custies always want to  pay by cash, then phone or txt them the night before to leave the money out for you.
