Pricing up school
« on: October 04, 2005, 07:57:29 pm »
Hi,
I was asked to price up cleaning a schools pavements and remove chewing gum. Not a problem. While there enquired if they had a window cleaner he said they had but it was due and asked me to quote them for that too.

Any ideas what price to quote they've got roughly 30 small/medium windows, 380 large and about 30 sets of doors. About 60% is upvc and 20/20 wood/metal. Using WFP.

Talk about right place right time

I was told when pricing big jobs you need to work out what you want to earn per day from that job. Problem is how well you estimate a days worth of work its different in everybodys eyes, a big company told me they price up similar to residential then play around with the final figure at the end to make it competitive. It must work as they are the biggest cleaning company in cheltenham now with about 12 guys working on the window cleaning contracts

Price it up on a hourly rate.  It should take Approx 8 hours times that by 40 per hour = £320.00
