anyone offer a laundry service? just for tea towels
« on: May 06, 2011, 02:32:51 am »
been asked to take tea towels away and clean them and then return ready for use. never had to provide this service and they know they but would like us to look into it.

it's just going to be around 20 per week used in a kitchen. i assume this isn't something we can simply take away, wash in our machine and then return?

what sort of prices should we be looking at for this also? it's going to be a bit of a pain collecting and returning each week as he doesn't want them lying around for longer then that.

thanks

I used to charge 85p per t towel but it is a pain collecting and returning them. The client had been using a local laundry service and paying £1.10 each but they never had the same t towels back and some would come back stained. There no profit in it, its just a complimentary service for your client really. You can then offer carpet cleaning, waste shredding etc. Just builds your profile with them.

thanks for the reply. as there isn't too many i may just say something like £20 per week for a limit of so many which includes collection/pick up by the cleaners friday and return monday of previous weeks set so we'll always have 1 set with us.

didn't really think about stains and how that works if they've got one that's beyond cleaning.

shame as there is all these services offered and it seems they're always done at cost just to get the contract
