please help, hotsync problems with tungsten T3

Been having problems with my pda, tried to update to the new pocket george with hopes of it fixing the problem but now I cant get pocket george back on there.

Ive come to realise the problem lies with compatitility issues between my pda and the hotsync manager as it keeps chucking up .dll errors etc (lots of them)

 

Im running windows vista 32 bit with service pack 2

my processor is pentium dual core es500 2.50 GHz

4gb ram memory

 Can you advise me of a hotsync manager that would be compatible with my tungsten t3 pda, I dont really need the desktop part, just the hotsync manager will do fine.

 If its of any help, my palm is running software v.5.2.1

This could be the issue. George will only work with a PDA and windows 32 bite system. If Vista you are using is 64 bite then you will have a syncro problem.
There is a work around using infra red - if you do a search on here you will find the answer.

cheers spruce, I am running 32 bit windows not 64


edit: Im hoping somone here has had same probs and can link me a quick fix or help me quick as i need to use it today for work and time is running out eek!

Dont worry, just phoned palm uk and found out that my t3 and palm software will not run any more as they are just not compatible with vista now :(
My only options are either to instal windows xp, or use bluetooth! I do have a bluetooth connection via one of those little bluetooth transmitters but every time I try and use it it says it cant connect because the comm port is being used by another application. How frustrating!

Good thing I never went to Windows 7 with this new computer. Stayed with XP. Funny, I thought there was someone on here that was using Vista with Pocket George on a PDA, or was the problem with Vista that they corrected with Windows 7 32 bite.
Anyone use Windows 7 on their Palm PDA please?

I was using it with windows vista ultimate for quite a while and it was working ok but theres obviously something it doesnt like now and decided not to work any more

yes i use windows 7 with a pda  ;)

do this using a usb cable.

think it 32 bit but bit unsure.

dont ask me how,the brains of the family got it all set up.
