Omnipole RO
« on: September 29, 2005, 07:42:08 pm »
Anyone out there using Omnipole ro, been offered one today. Chap says it brings tds down to 000. I assume it has a di unit on it. It has six filters on it 3 large and 3 small on the top, any ideas?

Sounds like its actually an RO-MAN one. I know omnipole did use these. I bought a 200 GPD one from them recently through Ebay. If its an RO MAN one then it should be fine. Membranes might be ready to change soon though and if it only has the very small DI vessel ( Its usually a blue one on the top ) its about as much use as a chocolate fireguard if you want to produce any real quantity of pure water.. it needs refilling far too frequently to be of serious use only because it's so small.  What is the Gallons Per Day rating? This will give a clue as to which one it really is.

It is an omnipole that much I do know, but what gpd it produces I have not got a clue, although it has been used to fill up a 1000 litre tank and it has been running pretty much non stop and yes the filters will need replacing, he says they last about 6 months, which sounds pretty good considering the amount of water it must have been producing, he now uses more than 1000 litres a day (3 vans) so has got a newer system.

If its been offered to you free then take it coz you can't go wrong. If not you really do need to know the GPD rating to know whether or not its worth what you are being asked for it.
