hey wimpo took your advice and been using the gardiners red mono for the last three weeks . great so far half the weight of the equivalent vikan . miles better over connys . the mrs is now sweeping the cave out with yhe vikan  ;D no sign of it falling apart yet , if it gets to easter might send you an egg  ;)

I have the rectus 21 fittings but found that the male insert piece on my pole hose wore alot quicker than the female part on the end of my hose reel and are only a few quid to buy,I always thought the female part was to blame but when I switched poles the leak was no more so look at replacing the male bit on your pole hose cause thats the culprit! ;D
