Without seeing the floor it is hard to be sure. It may well be trashed.

Where is the flooring; Kitchen, Warehouse, Workshop???

With any hard floor job I always try to establish flooring manufacturer and type. Then speak wth the manufacturer and devise best approach. Clarify / agree potential issues with customer before doing anything.

Glue; if this was water based then you'd have already seen at least some improvement using a green pad. I would expect therefore that you'll need to try a solvent based cleaner. You may also benefit from the use of steam.

What type of oil?

Before you get a decent answer people need to know.

Is the glue soluble with water or solvent.?

What detergent have you tried.?

What length of dwell time did  you give the solution?

Did you try a Black pad?

Have you tried using a grit disc?

A photograph of the floor would be useful.

When it comes to spelling the word machine does NOT have a T in.

As expro says.

3M do a High Productivity pad.

It is open construction so wont gum up like conventional pads.
I think it has silicon carbide in the coating too.

Floor stripper may be an option.

I would use a black pad with a "tar and Glue remover".

Floor stripper may also do the job.
