yell.com anyone bother?

i got a call the other day saying that it will be a5 book this year and only paid adverts will be in there and on the net,it will cost £25 per month for 10 months and will include a website aswell as optimization on your own site and a few other things.
 Has anyboddy else been contacted?
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

I would take up their offer straight away, and make sure you have somebody at home to deal with the all the calls you you will get !  You should maybe start to look for a couple of employees so you can cope with the workload  ;D

It works for some but not others.... it worked for us, got some commercial out of it & also yellow pages, so it more than paid for itself.... have not bothered this year though.

I had a similar call.  The guy was quite a nagger.  He also told me there would be a limit on the number of paid ads in each section (an obvious lie).   So I asked him if he wanted to do leaflet drops for me.

Paid £1600 for guaranteed 2nd position on the net and got nothing from it...dont waste your money

do a good job and get jobs from word of mouth! simple. i also clean a few hairdressers and pick up tonnes of work from them. if im ever seaeching for anything i google it not yell.com

We advertise on yell.com, don't get a great quantity of work from it, but generally the quality of the work is good.  A recent enquiry from there has let to us being 3/4 of the way down the line with a commercial client who wants their windows done 4 times a year, £1300 a time.
