Just googled this software programe and it looks quite cool. Not been long doing this type of work but it may be an opportunity to start using it straight away to build my client base.
Would I be right in thinking this Dave ?

Hi Dave

I use it, and yes you can use it for any other service, it even comes pre loaded for every type of service our industry does - which is all editable any way.

I read somewhere that there is some new updates coming soon? which apparently will be free for all users who buy it before its released? (I would e mail them to find out for certain though). So Im looking forward to that 8)

We all know Cleaners Mate is a good product every now and then somebody puts a post up to say so.

But wht does the owner not talk to Forum Admin about a paid advert.

Or use Google Adwords to target the Forum

This way the Costs of The Forum will be covered

Just a quick question

I haven't got the program but isn't it just the same as someone saying they use prochem or craftex does the forum ask all suppliers that are mentioned on here to pay for ads ?

I Don't imagine that you would want this in the public domain, however,
Carpet cleaning is but a small part of my business, I also have a Blind factory supplying mainly to one man bands working from home. Having been on a few cleaning  training courses it is obvious that as it is a very cheap business to get in to,carpet/window cleaners would have an interest in this as a "bolt on "product. However I have enquired about advertising here and it seems the rates were set in the boom times and no allowance has been made for the recession. It is cheaper for me to advertise in specialist window blind magazines and target people who are already trading.
Just an observation.

No, Trade under my own name, the carpet shop is Market Cross Carpets, retail blinds trade under MC Blinds and The Window Dresser. Trade blinds trade under my own name.

There are lots of products mentioned everyday on nearly ever post, i dont
know if the owners of cleaners mate are members on here, rather like
the boss of Prochem, Craftex, Hydramaster, solutions Chemspec etc etc
i dont hear of any of them being asked to publicly dip there hands in their pockets.

Its a forum for carpet cleaners to talk about products, the quality of service from suppliers, and to further their knowledge in this industry.

Oh yes i do know the owner of cleanersmate, so do many on here, i also know
many of the owners of the other companies i have mentioned.

Maybe Ian you should privately ask the owner of cleaners mate if he wishes to pay for advertising, along with all the other owners, rather than embarrassingly do it on here.

Just my view,
Andrew

Tony,

One of the biggest mistakes I made when starting up was to not have some system in place to deal with existing customers.

I did not have any way of contacting them regularly apart from trying to interpret scribbles in last year's diary.

The sooner you do that, the better. I understand that this sort of feature is well catered for in Kev's software.

andrew could you point out the posts titled 'chemspec' or 'prochem' or 'hydramaster' followed by 'what a great company they are' becuase I must have missed them.

I think you should take your own advice and not try and embarrass Ian with your weak argument, we all know that many companies uses stooges to push their products and unfortunately the good companies get tarred with the same brush. we all know it happens.

If i was in charge i would allow all independent suppliers  especially actual cleaners who are branching out into other fields to have a certain amount of freedom to promote their products. becuase some of these products are filling a real need in our industry ( like cleaners mate does )

mike

ps this post in no way is accusing Dave of being a stooge :)

My apologies Mike, i must have been reading a different forum..
So things like great results from power burst, big thanks to ncca
and someone recomending cleaners mate are all different.

You may be right in saying it could be run differently, but that is up to the owners,
i just thought Ian could of done it privately.

I am not a stooge for Kev, and i dont own a copy of cleaners mate, although
i have heard it is an excellant product, so will buy it when i can afford it.

I looked at this before and downloaded the trial version but never used it.  I think it's time to try it again, if the programme will let me, as it does appear to be a very good product.  Is it still the same price?

Kev might be at the cleaning show but I doubt if his business will - costs far to high.

He is at the end of a telephone though - very accommodating.

Have you looked at the tutorial clips??  Very helpful.
