London Contracts for sale
« on: January 25, 2011, 09:51:06 pm »
Dear All,

Have not been on for a while as other business interests have kept me busy whilst a manager looked after the day to day running.

The time has now come to concentrate solely on those other interests (with the same client base as the cleaning company, just a different service) therefore we are looking at selling off the majority of our individual contracts with Managing Agents to clean communal parts of residential blocks.

These range from £160 a month for 1 hour per week attendance to £7500 a month for 3.75 full time staff (currently at £6 per hour) and everything in between.

Not looking for outrageous prices just someone that will TUPE over the staff and look after the clients as we're still in business with them.

If any interest let me know on info@tcsbc.co.uk

just seems very low Colin. Not big enough or experienced enough to know how the bigger contracts work, but it just seems like how can you make any money on that with minimum wage and all other costs involved?

mikecam; all my staff are entittled to work in UK and have the requisite paperwork (especially the ones from Ireland and England) and not sure I like the insinuation otherwise.

I have people asking to work for us because we pay more than others (as a lot of my competitors use those on student visa's and pay them less than £4) and not sure where you operate but £6 is quite common in London for cleaners.

Anyway thanks for you comment.

GCS - sorry didn't make it more clear what I was referring to - we actually charge from £12.50 to £40 an hour depending on site and frequency/hours.

We pay most of our cleaners in Central London £6.10 an hour and I've TUPE'd from about seven companies in the past three-four months; not one of them was paying their cleaners more than the NMW.

It's probably quite surprising if you don't operate in London that the wage is this low but the huge volume of cleaning companies tendering for the same business keeps the wage, and the charge rates, quite low and I have a few contracts where I've had to settle for an hourly contract rate of £8.50.

Probably the same everywhere, right enough..

That will depend on frequency of the cleaning and the number of hours required. And like other Pristineclean we also have contracts that range from £8.50 per hour.

If you cant match these prices you simply don't get the work. It is that simple. And no those prices are not just London prices. We have many contracts local and far away that all range differently in price some low and some higher priced contracts.
