400 litres - how many houses ?
« on: December 29, 2010, 11:59:49 am »
Bit of a "how long piece of string" question I know but any of you guys running with a 400 litre tank ?

Would you or do you get 18 - 20 average 3 bed houses a day from it ?

Making plans for second van in the spring so trying to work out financials etc - eventually will have a near daily operating cost per van worked out  ;)

I put 18 25 litre barrells on our van not brimmed but about 20litres in each plus 2 18litre backpacks so that works out at roughly 400 litres and that will do round about 20 to 25 houses on my round but everyones work is different  so i would imagine you would get your 18 to 20 done comfortably.

lol i have a 175 ltr tank and it last me all day  ::)
I think it's all down to your flow rate.
Messure your useage per a minute then look at what you do time wise per a daythen x them , that will = amount you use  ;)
say each house is 15 minutes x 1 ltr per minute x 10 houses = 150 ltrs  ;D

If I was using a backpack, I could easily do 18 - 20 average houses with 400 litres.  The strange thing is that using a van mount, I might not stretch it so far.  It's just more effort to keep filling a BP and it tends to moderate usage a bit.

it crossed my mind to get a smaller tank and van (dont think i will though)
since using the aerial brushes
i worked out i spend less then 2 mins (actual cleaning) small town houses
carnt be using more than 3-4 litres on these properties
