HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO DO EACH ONE? I'VE NEVER DONE COMMUNAL AREAS OF FLATS AS MY PRICE WAS ALWAYS TOO HIGH BUT I FOUND THAT THERE IS VERY LITTLE TO DO SO, MAYBE HALF HOUR EACH BLOCK.

Just price for your hourly rate.

Do they have space for storage of equipment or not?

If not add a little extra on otherwise the cleaner(s) need to transport the equipment about and that limits your candidates.

If it takes four hours each that's a fair amount of work for communal cleaning so you would need to be competitive.

As I don't know your area I would keep it low as possible but it depends if you want the work

We do alot of these around 25-30 each week, where abouts are you?4 hours seems like a long time just for 3 blocks??

Work out the square footage and give them an accurate competitive quotation - Don't just guess.

Also we can't price without viewing  the area as the type of flooring, density, obstructions, condition to name only a few will effect the price.

Are you cleaning the common way windows/ door glass etc as this will also change the price, is it a tender that your going for?

Hi Broomklean,

It is hard to give assistance when there is so little information.  Furthermore any price given will be an estimation or a guideline because there are other factors to take into consideration when pricing.  I.e. your overheads will not be the same as those offering advice so you can only take the information and adjust it accordingly.

Three Blocks, 16 flats in each.  4 hours I agree seems very long but again with limited information its not clear what works are covered entirely.  As asked above whether windows/doors etc is included, whether its hard or soft floors, storage all factors need to be considered.  The last thing you want to do is tender for a contract for services and underprice it making it unviable to carryout.   Please answer some of the questions asked in order to receive a more acurate guideline for prices.
