simon i the pic of the genny it has tree plugs two yellow ones 110v and one blue one240v it has a switch so you can either have one or the other

Hi Andy.

Thanks for this info. from looking at the photo of the blue socket it doesn't look like the regular kind of 240v socket you would plug into, does the vac have a regular 240v three pin plug if so does this just plug directly into the blue socket on your generator?

you lift the flap up and it has plug socket under it  :)

here is a pic of the 32 amp plug that would go into the genny 110v  the other blue one is on my extention lead

OK Andy" thanks for explaining, I imagined that the plug on the vac was your typical 240v type that you'd find on standard 240v electrical appliance.

Anyway I think I've made a decision on which set up to go for but will have to speak with the suppliers this week to make sure it's all compatible. I think I'll have a 110v Tech Clean Vac, with a single plug transformer, then go for the Eastern Trading aluminium suction poles and accessories providing they can be used togeather? I will then get a suitable generator later on when needed.

I know Eastern Trading are doing a 110v machine mid December but really I need to start using a vac asap.
