Buckland the accumulator has absolutely no connection with how the water comes out of the wand. It is for the water being pumped from the fresh tank to the header tank!

Spot on Goron it just stops the pump cycling as much and takes the load of the pressure switch hence it will probably last longer.

Goron what are you on about? - this thread turned from talking about the shurflo that this guy was wanting to replace to him being told he needed a new accumalator - the accumalator has everything to do with how the water comes out of the wand so I dont know what you are on about - you are confusing the demand pump and pressure vessel with the nitrogen accumalator that is downstream of the waterbox - as tony gill says it stops the pump cycling and takes pressure

Bucland, you  & goron are talking about different parts. you are talking about the nitrogen pulsation dampener Gorun is talking the demand pump accumulator
