Terry,

To join the NCCA you will have to do a 2 day course either at the NCCA or Alltec.

None of the other courses available will qualify you .

You then pay your money and your in.

My views on encouraging experienced CC's to join are well known and I will not bore you with them.

Currently the NCCA has a very low profile among the public so it will not make much difference to your business either way.

I suppose it depends on whether you like being part of trade organisations.

Cheers,

Doug

I joined the NCCA about 7 years back, within 2 years I had a contract to clean two mobile phone shops, twice a year. That paid for the subscription short of £5.00.
This contract was a national one and with all national contracts you have two choices, use a franchise, or an national independent network, which they isn't one except the NCCA. I covered the Norfolk area for the contract.
Unfortunately that ended, but then I got another contact. This time the supervisor was told to use NCCA companies only, so I got that contract and still have it. This pays between 10-20 times my NCCA subs, a year.

So I may be lucky but I am not the only one making money cos I am a ncca member.

If you're in, you'll may make money, if your not then you will never know.

And then I also get recommendations and people moving into my area that know about the NCCA, so it makes me laugh when cc's slag off the NCCA, cos they don't know what they are missing.

Monthly magazine is a good and informative read, help on the phone in case it hits the fan, training so you know you are doing it right, being a part of the largest body of cc's in the country, being in an assocaition about our job, not some guild of 'any cowboy that pays a yearly sub'. etc,etc
