windows too clean ?
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:10:24 pm »
hi guys

didnt know how to title this post accurately so to clarify - ive had a few lately casually saying they will leave it for another month and my fear for my 4 weekly is that they are still really quite clean 4 weeks later (though the frames get more poopted up than the windows and in  wooded areas particularly)

my question is do 4 weekly customers have them done that frequently coz they are very house proud and keen on maintaining appearance or just coz thats what i offered?

and the ones that say wait another month just looking for best allround deal that works?

my 4 weekly are still really clean when i revist and wonder how am i getting away with such a regular clean with some.

what about the guys on here that do fortnightly unless i was charging 2 quid thatd never happen in my area   :-\

dont look at it through a mans eyes.  women can see they look dirty at 4weeks. more so if they are the types that thrive/revel  on having a really clean house

Wat people want is a freindly face reliability and clean windows just go do your job and if a few want a 6 weekly clean don't worry

I find this as well, I turn up and think for one second that the windows have already been done, I just carry on anyway and if the customer says the same I thank them for noticing that I do a very good job ;D

I make it a big selling point that the windows stay clean longer with my system.

Tell them the arrangement was for you to keep the windows clean.
If they want to change that arrangement, then there maybe a price adjustment or you can no longer offer a service.
If you`re on a mobile phone contract and hardly use it for a month, you still get charged the same amount.

think that might be the prob - re affordable - my min rate is 10 quid and get semis for between 10-14 so when on 4 weekly get so many so has it been a month already.
really does make me think of pricing slightly higher and offering 6-8 weekly as standard albeit meaning more customers to a full round - on the plus side theres more to choose from when wanting to drop the chaff. any thoughts ?

I've no idea how you've priced your work, but you need to explain that your price is based on coming regularly to keep them clean and looking the way they do. If they want to let them get dirty and you have to come and give them a good scrub out and spend more time, the explain to them it will cost more. After saying this to them they'll probably agree to stay on your regular cycle, if not they know they'll be paying more. Many people don't understand until you tell them.

i have noticed windows staying cleaner longer since i went wfp 4 months ago but it took me twice as long as trad first clean to get the frames up to scratch.another clean to really get rid of any slight spotting etc that took me longer than trad.

i ve spent a  few grand to be able to do a more pro job of the windows in a safer manner and ongoing higher overheads so they cant complain!and nobody is at the moment! ;) ;D ;D

im mostly 4 weekly but my prices are lower than £10 for an average 3 bedder on my compact estates(150 of them nearly all next door to each other!).

i do quite a few bigger houses that have big gardens and trees and these windows and frames do get dirty after 4 weeks due to wind blowing crap on the windows.

i see wfp as a maintenance tool to keep my custies windows as clean as possible at all times!! ;) ;D ;D

i am taking on newer work (larger stand alone accounts) on  a 8 weekly frequency due to my higher pricing and wfp being as good as it is!!

yeh sometimes its TOO GOOD AT CLEANING THE WINDOWS!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
