Van Sign writing
« on: September 18, 2005, 12:33:59 pm »
Hi guys,

Sign writing cost me £200 and this week I did my third job directly from it , total £240.

Time for pay back was almost exactly 2 months plus have handed out several cards which may lead to business.

Bit of a mixed week though as I also put first scatch down the side which has taken me 6 months :-[

Cheers,

Doug

I would love to get my van sign written but i use it for another job which requires me to use their signs (which i cover when using for carpet clening).

My brother has had his signwritten and seems to be doing ok from it.

Have you considered magnetic signs?
they might be a partial solution to the problem, however on disadvantage is that  they can also be removed by unauthorised helpers.

good idea, i did consider this some time ago but was concerned about theft. Hopefully if i my new leaflet campaign pays off i will be able to ditch the other job and have full sign writing.

Cheers,

Ben

The picture above is of my van displaying magnetic graphics, which cost just under £200.  We remove these when towing our caravan, as some sites do not allow commercial vehicles with signwriting on them.

So far (touch wood) I have had no problems regarding theft of these signs, although some "friends" did turn two panels upside down, just for the hell of it!

Don’t need signs with a van like that, speaks quality. :P

You guys and your big vans    ::)

I was going to say something about men and big vehicles, but I won't.

Actually, anyone else with pictures?  Love to see them. We want to get our new van sign written.  Had the last van done and it brought in more business than all our other advertising put together.

Haven’t got a big van but it’s like a police public call box, but will put my hands up a boy racer!

Been promised a dongle for the software I have by Monday my van will be back to plain white, no signage! But watch this space, was thinking of coming away from truck mounted system a replacing it with some thing like most advanced technology or state of the art. All feed back welcomed!

Doug

Nice set of wheels but will it have room for the white spirit? ;D ;D
