Went to go to work this morning opened the garage door and there was five ton off tarmac at one end off my alley and there laying it at the other day off for me. Was having a long weekend but looks like im working friday now

if you rent the garage off the council take a picture explain what happen and you might get one or two free weeks garage rent  ;D

good thinking but it my own wouldnt mind but mon and tues ive been out to work early so it been ok to get ,the only day i was starting after i had taken the kids to school and there is a big digger and and big pile of tarmac in the way

i would still take a photo and go into the council and tell them you lost a days earnings due to this so you are now seeking compensation for a days loss of earnings if you are a good windowcleaner the days earnings will be a least a grand  ;D

they will just laugh at you, and say u should of read your local paper as they put all the work that is getting done to the roads with dates weeks inadvance  in the paper,

Not 100%, but im pretty sure any properties that are directly affected by works should also receive an explanation letter.

ahh thats why u couldn't read the letter they sent you regarding them dumping the tarmac  ;D ;D

i read the letter it never said anything about dumping tarmac and there only doing half of the alley way so i dont know why they did not dump up the top of the alley where they are working , but thats our loacl council for you
