Children in Need 19th November
« on: October 07, 2010, 08:14:53 pm »
Hi everyone

On the 19th November I will be donating all my takings for that day to Children in Need.

I wondered how many others would consider doing the same. We could ask our custys over the next few weeks to mention it to friends and family telling them that they could have work done knowing that what they pay will go to a good cause. I think it can be a very positive thing to do and would be good for the industry as a whole. This has nothing to do with any politics just doing some good.

Anyone else in?

Pete

I would be willing actually.... :)

I was also thinking we could make a calender too, where you have to get 12 pictures of a carpet cleaner doing it in the nude.....

There must be at least 12 women carpet cleaners on CIU ;D ;D ;D

Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Fair do's mate...

If I was being brutally honest, the reason I would do such a thing would be to gain publicity for my business.

I would certainly use the papers and local "Tin Pot" radio station to the best I could and maybe do an event with the backing of the local community centre....

I'm not a Yorkshire Man, but I don't give out for nowt ;)

Well done Pete, that's a really noble thing to do but again to be brutally honest I couldn't give all my takings away on the one day.

Not that I'm tight, we give to charitable causes a lot in my house but with CC income being sporadic sometimes I'd like to make sure money comes in first and then I'll give anything left over.  Maybe when I'm rich   ;D

Well done though, I hope you get a good response from your customers.

Hats off to you Pete, but Charity begins at home!  However, I will donate at some point, always do.

Here's how I see it though. Get your local media involved and get YOURSELF in there. Easily worth a days pay.

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Not really, I have no desire to wear womens clothes or do nude photo shoots. Even for charity  ;)
