Wouldn't you have to sell it slightly differently to a domestic customer, especially if their idea of carpet cleaning is HWE and will be expecting that kind of a machine rather than a rotary and a pad?

Simon,

You havent seen the EMV have you? The EMV is an all in one machine that allows you to clean with either the Texatherm Low Moisture Clean or to Extraction Clean.

Nice one Wayne, do not worry about using the system across Domestics, I have used it for the last 12 years with no problems.

Regards

Gary

What's the sale price on one of these (complete set-ups).

I remember noticing them not too long after purchasing our Advance almost two years ago. Looks a good bit of kit but it is very rare anyone seems to post anything about it, thus I assumed not many were in use.

This looks like a really good machine, I like the gate valve idea on both tanks and how they are horizontal. Seems to have alot going for it for the price, never really heard anything about it until this thread.

All the people I know who have the EMV system basically dont want to post as they dont want their competitors to have one!

The EMV is a serious move forward with the latest technology. Most people in this country are put off by that, but Texatherms biggest market will be overseas, where people are more open to accepting new technology. Ask Ian from Magic Dry in Australia what a difference it has made to his business

Gary,

I agree the EMV is a clever piece of kit but wouldn't consider it new technology as there is nothing new about any of what it does, just that a number of systems have been combined into one, which is innovative.
I also don't think that people are resistant to new technology, we are one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world.
I'm put off the Texatherm system because of the cooling pad as opposed to a constantly heated pad with Dry fusion or Thermadry and also because I hate it when people say they are going to get back to you with more information and prices and then forget about you. No matter how good the product, the service has to be good too - very disappointing.

That's a shame. If it's carpet cleaning's great secret it would be good to find out more. The tripple vac machines have been very well discussed but this I must admit intrigues me, I'm going to see what I can find out  ;D
