What sort of a roof? Slates like? Check the back of your van, there's bound to be one in there somewhere. If Not i'd try a good hardware. Its really a wire brush with a nub on it, you'd need isn't it? And a scraper of any kind just for the agitation. Rub on the acid, scrubb with the brush, scraper for the corners or where needed, dwell, pressure wash off and repeat. Whats the issue? You are the minister for this type of stuff. I should be asking you. I have a picture on my site of a roof I done, its a sloped roof showing the before and after if thats what you had in mind.

Thanks for that ;)

I was asking as have done the job with one of my home made tools (client didn't want it PW) but wondered if there is anywhere that sells specific tools for this job.

Why would you scrape the roof if you are going to pressure wash it? (i have done quite a few) Seems like a waste of time ???

Cheers
Alan

I know, but your own question is where to get a roof scraper, if such a thing exists? If you want to rely on just water as a form of agitation to get the job done then thats fine. But the end result could look a bit patchy or Zebra like, hit and miss effect you know. Thats if your dealing with roof slates that have never been cleaned. I might be able to upload a foto but I did have to use other forms of agitation and chemical to get into the porosity of the slate. Its not very green or PC either now to just use 17 tonnes of water and do it the lazy way eh?
