have a 2 man set up, but have only gone to it this week but have had this problem for a few weeks,  when using reel 1  doesnt matter what pole or brush the spray of water seems to lose power then kicks in again,  when using reel 2 there is no loss

have changed the hose connector (to the pole) as thought this might of been the problem, but still carries on,   

any ideas what the prob might be, as am thinking is it is the reel, as if pump would do it on both poles

i would guess that you've answered your own question. From what you say it does look like the reel is the problem. It could only be caused by a lack of pressure in the hose reel which would come from a possible leak.

From how you describe what is happening it sounds exactly the same as a problem I had, but that does not make sense as it was my battery at fault.
Perhaps your other reel has been kinked as it was rolled in?

am going to run it all tomoz as a 1 man van  with all the new gear and see if the same happens,  if it does, could be battery like you said

I don't know what pump(s) you are using but I took mine apart and found debris in the diaphram and have same problem as you...Plan to take it apart at the weekend.  Last time I did it I could turn my controller down by one setting t achieve the same pressure.

1 pump 1 controller it splits after the di vessel,  had the problem before i went to a two man van

have you tried swapping over the reels to the connectors ?

Does the problem start half way through the day or is present first thing in the morning ?
what flow controller are you using ?

it varies,  but since went two man   does it later in day, but keep battery charged every nite,

tried different reels with different poles,  the only thing i think it can be is the reel,    going to use the 2 man set up tomoz and strip the reel at weekend and check everything,  i thought it might of been the connectors but have replaced them and still have the problem

OKay, i cant vouch for the controller as i have a varistream.

over a period of 3 to 4 months i had a problem very simular to this, i used to get full flow back if i had the van running - so i thought it was the batt, i even added a second batt, but the problem still came and went - even when the van was running.

in the end it came down to a loose fitting in line fuse - if the system played up i could just touch the fuse or wire leading to it and suddenly the pump was going full pelt - tweak it another way and the flow became less than a dribble.

so it may be worth checking any wire connections and fuses - when i replaced mone the ends of the fuse had corroded.

all my wiring and fuses are now in waterproof connectors

Sounds like the pressure setting to me. Running two reels at once means no backpressure 'cos the water supply doubles. When you've only got one reel you are using half the water and increasing the back pressure so the pump cuts out?
Can you hear the pump running continuously?

it seems to stop and start from what i remember,  but when i use the other reel and hose it runs con thats why i think its the reel

i have always ran a two man set up from one pump , i pump through the dis instead of after you could be sucking air in through the dis if you put pump first you would see them leaking , i recently lost pressure in one reel and it was a small stone inside the hose reel , also how much resin you have in your dis will effect your flow if i half fill mine they take ages to build up good pressure but the pressure is stronger if i fill them to the neck pressure builds quicker but is not just as strong but still plenty
