How long did it take you to pick up wfp technique ?        I am starting soon and just wondered how long it would take me to feel comfortable with the results ?

i`ve been wfp 9 months now, i think for most the first month is hard going. i didn`t like it much but most told me to stick with it and all will become natural. from disliking the first month to now wondering how i ever got by with climbing ladders all the time. You learn all the time and gets easier and easier

Been at it 2.5 years and trad 14.

I reckon WFP is harder, still not sure if Ive got the brush on the right end of the pole most days.

To get up to speed and trust it I'd say 3 to 4 months.

You will have no end of problems, worries, and possibly complaints to start with and you'll feel like packing it in, but stick with it.

It doesn't matter if it takes a lot longer than the old way for a few months, it'll be worth it in the end.

Yeh and I remember a few months ago you thinking the same dazmond and you were asking questions, questions, questions.  You were preparing for ages. I hope we've finally heard the last of your trad poles!

traps the trad pole still gets used on a couple of jobs! ;) ;D ;D

maybe a few more if we get the snow we had in january again!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

wfp is great most of the time and after 3 months im really speeding up and keeping on top of my work and picking up a few bigger jobs here and there.i still make the odd run and a few spots here and there but thats the nature of the beast!in the main it does a fantastic job on most windows and its faster and easier.

im glad ive got the first few months out of the way now though!

regards

That's all it is, get the first few months and first cleans out of the way and there's no stopping ya. ;D  You may adjust how you work a little to become more efficient if anything.
