Hi All,
I have just watched the News Night report and what the E.U is trying to achieve is a good idea and is basically common sense.
When I first bought my WFP I used it on every house and it took ages. Not so much the cleaning of the windows but getting it out the car taking it round the back etc etc, Now I evaluate each house and work place. First is the safety, Is it safe enough to use ladders? then the speed thing, If there are loads of top windows then out comes the WFP, an example of this, I cleaned a factory in Farnham, All top windows were done using the ladder BUT there was a couple which putting a ladder up was too dangerous so I drove the van round to the windows left the trolly in it and cleaned them with the pole.

So to me I think its a good idea with Safety being the key issue, they are also being very clever, They are putting the onus on the window cleaner.

Thanks
Paul

Sensible post, in my opinion

We cannot bring you the latest edition of Newsnight owing to rights restictions.

You are watching the previous edition from Thurdsay 15 September.

You may see other images at first - that is to ensure the start of the programme is not missed by the automated playout system.

The programme is broadcast on BBC Two and live on this website weekdays at 2230 BST.

that is the statement on newsnight .what rights are they on about .is it the pictures of andrew lees staff  ??????

Hello,

For those who missed it, the window cleaning item is viewable on the BBC's website at the following link:

Click Here to Open The Stream

This is only the window cleaning item, so I guess that probably the "rights issue" was to do with one of the other items.

PS for anyone wanting to download the item, eg using HiDownload, the URL that it is streamed from is:
