Anybody now of a good oven cleaner

Most oven cleaners are based on thickened caustic soda Seldens and clover do one see express website but always use with care. Rubber glves are a must and I would advise using goggles-- do not heat the oven apply cold let it work slowly.

we use brillo oven cleaner,great stuff by johnson, dont put it on while ovens are hot or will leave dry white marks, let oven cool a bit, then spray it on leave for half an hour, i tend to leave it a little longer,while cleaning other things, wash off with those soapy wire wool pads (brillo) comes up lovely and sliver

If you have the time to prepare in advance, place a cup or so of water inot the oven and let set for 24 hours. Open oven carfeully after that time (serious fumes) and let it air out for a few--then wipe-er down with a nice clean scrim.

Will I do ?

The most effective way of cleaning domestic and commercial ovens is manually, scraping and scrubbing. I clean domestic single ovens in about 1hour this way, which is quicker than most of the chemicals. And the van mounted cleaning tank helps .

I have tried many chemicals and solutions over the years but none match the manual approach, saying that i do carry two very good products for the really bad ones. For soft grease i use evans vandone "lift" and for really crusty commercial ovens i use dynamic chemicals oven cleaner allways following the safety guidelines of course.

Where possible i do not use chemicals in domestic properties, commercially we sometimes have too.

My dip tank is heated, has a lid and is made with high grade polypropelene so unless you are going into oven cleaning in a big way the cost may be prohibitive(about a grand +vat).

Are you looking to enter the murky world of oven cleaning in a big way or as a bolt-on to your current cleaning contracts?
