Vistaprint scam
« on: September 11, 2010, 11:56:53 am »
Be aware and I have just discovered that my bank account is £1,000 short thanks to this lot.
Their 3rd party associates have been taking £15.95 per month twice for the last 3 years.
Look on your bank accounts for the following names:
Clubprem.com and Vprewards.com

Do a google search for vistaprint scams if you don't believe me.

Only just noticed this morning.
Been to the bank, e-mailed all and sundry, left voicemails so just have to wait now for Monday.

Ah yes it's obvious now, but this lot were clearly clever because you have to untick numerous boxes, whereas other companies ask you to put the tick in if you want to be part of something else.
Check bank statements, yes but along with all the other DD's and SO's we took them as other insurances etc.

Sorry but to all intents and purposes vistaprint are party to this going on. So won't be using them again.

I've never had a problem with them either but I can see how people could get misled by them.

Helen,

I too was "scammed" by vistaprint VPRewards, luckily I noticed it the first month it was debited and cancelled it with a full refund.

I tend to agree with you about the way they work and the fact that you have to "opt out" of their rewards scheme rather than "opt in" to it.

On your side though you need to be checking what's actually going out of all your accounts on at least a monthly basis and balancing it against what you know should be going out.

Hope you get it sorted, though they may only redeem some of the money and not the full 3 years worth, what have your received for the monthly payments?

I just logged into my Vista account and found boxes were ticked to allow people to phone me, and allow emails to be sent by other parties.  ???
I've updated it now.

They did this to me when i first used them although i noticed after a month or so. I phoned them and got it cancelled and they refunded the money, but it was only 10 quid or so
