Insulate the RO and use a heater when necessary?
It's a game of three halves!

Thanks Gold, there is no space outside so I can only produce water inside !
So was thinking about having just a DI vessel maybe ?
planning to use a trolley to start with, so will be filling barrels .

What is your TDS?

What is your Water Pressure in psi (please don't say 'Good'  ;) )

What sort of RO are you thinking of getting?  The smallest versions are designed to go under a kitchen sink, so you could fit one there or similar and have the pure out feed going outside or wherever.

If you are going for a 40-40 RO you'll need to rethink things a bit.

DI only is only a profitable option if you have a reasonably low TDS or you'll be spending a fortune on Resin.

I do just that with a 4040 ro indoors.
It was a bit time consuming but got there in the end.
I'm in a first floor flat with only street parking, my street is busy and am never guarenteed a space for my van right outside, for this reason I have a 650 ltr tank onboard and try to make it last 2 days on average and have to fill up at different times, e.g late evening / early mornings.

I'll try to explain simply how I did it

in my communal hallway that I share with ground floor neighbours is a tap
above the inside of my door I have 2 inline 10 "filters on the wall, when making pure I run a couple of meters of 1/2 " hose to the tap (when not used its looped on a hook behind my door.

from the filters I have plumbed a few meters of white 15 mm flexi pipe up the wall of the stairway to above the landing window where there is a shelf above head height and out of the way, on this is my 4040 ro.

waste water from here goes out a hole in the wall through 1/2 " hose and into the down pipe of drain (which will be lagged before winter)

pure goes in 1/2" hose under floor boards (this was the time consuming bit) to my front bay window, here it goes through a hole in the frame and down to street level via a drain pipe and zip ties, it has a hoselock tap on the end.

When I need to fill my van I park as close as I can, I connect a reel (approx 30 meters ) to the pure hose on the street and the other end to a male connector under my vans bumper that feeds a hose through a hole in the floor to the tank, in addition I have a di tank in the van after the pump.

PHEW ! think thats explained it, and if you've had the patience to read this, I hope its been of help

a far simpler way to the one above, but unfortunately does'nt work in my case because I have no outside tap or nearby drain for waste, would be to fit and insulate the whole lot in the van itself.
Cant wait to have enough money behind me to finally move ! :D

Thanks, i asked a supplier about using DI only and was advised to get a 27 ltr one to make resin last longer.

Was looking at some advice about this from a few years ago and looked good, what do you think ?

a. Just use DI resin, this works out EXPENSIVE, and in the long run isnt worth it  its fairly simple, RESIN costs money equals LESS PROFIT for you

b. Buy a MERLIN RO unit, fit it under your sink, every night spend 1/2 hour filling up each Barrel, each Barrel wil take a few mins to fil up with a merlin, On the downside, the merlin costs ALOT more than a smallish RO / DI unit

c. Fit Small RO / DI unit under the sink, they fit, as they are fairly small, THEN run the 6mm pipe to a tank (this can either be under another kitchen unit cupboard OR in a cupboard in the kitchen or the like, i helped this guy fit it in the cupboard where he stored his iron board and hoover) OR if on a ground floor flat, or a 1st floor and the person below doesnt mind, run the 6 mm pipe into a rain water butt outside
