Hi everyone

To cut a long story short ive just had some cards made up to go carding with my name and number etc etc advertising my window cleaning services. Also gutters at this time of year, and, well anything as long as they pay me  :).

I found this forum a great help reading everyones posts etc about window cleaning and how to build up customers and keep them happy.
Does anyone have any advice for me just about to really get into it? Im out in the middle of knowwhere so I dont think ill be treading on anyones toes when I start! I was thinking about doing doing drive ways with a pressure washer and that sort of thing too, anyone doing that any tips, work well, dont touch it with a barge pole, any ideas?

My main question is how to build up a good round and whats the best way to get paid?

Anyway I would really appreciate any info anyone has,

Cheers,
George.

This section of the forum is "tumbleweed" city! Go into window cleaning issues and you'll get a better response.
It's a game of three halves!

Hello George,

The best way to build up a good round I find is, first get yourself some really good quality business cards made up first of all, try a company called printing.com, not cheap but superb quality cards.

Do not however use vistaprint for your cards, absolutely rubbish quality.

Start by canvassing one particular area at a time, that you have chosen off a map of your surrounding area.

You will soon pick up customers.

And before I forget don't bother having any leaflets made up as the majority of leaflets get treated like junk mail and get thrown in the bin, whereas professional quality business cards tend to get put on a pin board in the kitchen of most households just in case they are needed.

hope this helps.

Regards.
